A Place Called Change
I have followed the us election process and studied at great length for the last twenty years now. I was there for Kennedy/Nixon, Ford/Carter, Carter/Reagan, Bush/Clinton, Gore/Bush, Bush/Kerry and now Clinton/McCain.
It is, I believe to be the worlds ultimate survival game, witnessed world wide with the nail biting primary's and seemingly enthusiastic caucuses. With each episode the suspense grows and ah yes don't forget we all remember that all familiar pilgrimage to that old familiar campaign slogan that was fed to us time and time again. thats right you guessed it "CHANGE" "We Need Change" "Change Is Good" "Its Time For A Change" or even Ronald Reagan simply suggesting change with "are you better off today, then you were yesterday?" less subtle, but means the same.
So, ok, fine, change, here we go again, and yes after all there is a change that takes place, one leader steps down and another stands in his place, simple of course and this change could, possible change the course of the world, for good or bad, so, ya, change is important and definitely worth mentioning.
So whats the problem? right? here's the problem: We have a new polital machine that has entered the equation, a new silent candidate if you will. Who is this entity? No its not Bloomburg and its not Al Gore either. Its not even Buba, Its CNN, MS.NBC, FOX ABC,CBS,NBC. I am seriously disturbed and quit frankly totally disgusted with the way this current election is being hijacked by the American Media.
The incredible amount of media involvement in the US elections has always been present of course. After all, didn't they all decide to give Bush JR. a free ride to the white house in 2001? and now they want Obama? another so called outsider? a so called unifier with no foreign policy experience and they don't care if you know It or not. STOP THE MALE DOMINATED MEDIA FROM DECIDING FOR YOU AGAIN........ THEY WERE WRONG LAST TIME........ NOW ITS YOUR TURN 43 MEN AND ONE WOMAN !!!!
